Game Engine
A C and SDL3 systems-engineering project focused on explicit control, predictable resource lifetimes, concurrency foundations, and measurable performance.
Engineering direction
This engine explores a systems-level foundation for future graphical applications. The design emphasizes explicit lifetimes and control without treating usability and developer ergonomics as enemies of performance.
Foundations under development
- Memory primitives and arena-style allocation for predictable lifetime management.
- A bounded mailbox and job-system foundations for communication and background work.
- A cross-platform application shell built on SDL3.
- Reproducible benchmarks and tests to compare design choices rather than relying on intuition alone.
Why it belongs to the larger vision
The engine is not a disconnected performance experiment. It is a possible foundation for future graphical software in the Linux Migration Assistant ecosystem and, much further ahead, a custom desktop environment.
The source repository is currently private. This public page describes the project's intent and current engineering direction, not a claim that a complete desktop compositor or finished game engine has shipped.
